Mangrove Tree

Mangrove Tree is a tree that grows on mud and is naturally found in Mangroves. It can also spawn on mud blocks in any biome, so it is not limited to the Mangrove region once the right soil is present.

Mangrove Trees are harvested with a Basic Axe or any better axe. Chopping the tree yields 5 Mangrove Sticks, or 8 Mangrove Sticks if the stump is also chopped down. Unlike most trees, Mangrove Trees do not drop seeds; they reproduce by growing directly from mud.

To grow your own Mangrove Tree, dig up a mud tile from the Mangroves with a Shovel and place it where you want the tree to grow. The tree will eventually grow on that mud, but it grows very slowly, so it takes patience to establish a farm.

• Mangrove Trees require mud soil, not ordinary dirt or grass.
• Because they can grow in any biome, a small amount of mud is enough to start a Mangrove farm anywhere.
• Harvesting the stump increases the stick yield, making full clearing more profitable.
