Overview
Pine Tree is a harvestable tree found naturally in the Pine Forest biome, and it can also appear on 
A Pine Tree can be cut down with a Copper Axe or any better axe. When felled, it yields 3 
The Plant Book can be used on a Pine Tree to check its maturity while it is growing. Once the tree is fully grown, the book no longer displays data for it. This makes it easy to tell when the tree has finished developing and is ready to harvest for hardwood or cones.
Pine Trees are also part of the game’s giant-tree mechanic. If a 
Pine Trees are valuable for their wood output and for maintaining a supply of Pine Cones for replanting. Because they can be grown in any biome, they are a practical source of Hard Wood Logs away from the Pine Forest, as long as the ground is suitable for planting. Their natural growth also makes them part of the year-round regeneration of the landscape, alongside Fir Grass and 
- Natural spawning occurs in Pine Forests, and they may also generate on Fir Grass in other biomes.
- They are cut with a Copper Axe or better.
- Normal felling gives 3 Hard Wood Log and 1–2 Pine Cone.
- Chopping the stump increases the total to 4 Hard Wood Log.
- Pine Cones can be buried in dirt or sand to grow a new tree.
- Growth to full size takes 5 days.
- A fully grown Pine Tree can be turned into a giant tree with a Fertilizer bag placed nearby before sleeping.
