Alpha Spear

The Alpha Spear is a hunting weapon with long range and medium attack speed. It is designed for direct attacks, but it also creates a line of stone spires erupting from the ground in the direction of the strike. This effect is similar to the area attack used by the Alpha Croco, giving the weapon additional reach and letting it punish enemies lined up in front of the player.

Because of its special attack pattern, the Alpha Spear works best when you can control spacing and aim into a clear lane. Its long range makes it effective for hunting from a safer distance than many melee weapons, while the stone spires can catch targets that might otherwise slip past the spear's normal hit area. The weapon's durability can be repaired at the Repair Table, so it can be kept in service rather than replaced when worn down.
