Basic Hammer

The Basic Hammer is a melee weapon used for hunting. It trades speed for heavy hits, with slow attack speed, high damage, and a chance to stun targets. Like other hammers, it can be charged by holding Left-Click or the X button on an Xbox controller to raise it above the player’s head before swinging.

In addition to combat, the Basic Hammer can also be used to break Tin ore rocks and Copper ore rocks, making it useful early on for gathering basic metal resources. Its durability is repairable at the Repair Table, so it can be kept in service for longer instead of being replaced as soon as it wears down.
