Animal Trap

The Animal Trap is a trapping tool used to catch animals in Dinkum. It is part of the Trapping Licence progression, and crafting it requires Trapping Licence Level 2. The licence also allows the player to craft and use animal traps and animal drop off points, with successful drop-offs granting a reward.

The Animal Trap is the standard upgrade from the Simple Animal Trap. Its recipe uses 1 Simple Animal Trap, 1 Animal Trap-related component, and 2 additional materials as shown in the crafting table, and it sells for 40. Players who have only Trapping Licence Level 1 can craft the Simple Animal Trap, while the Animal Trap itself is unlocked at Level 2.

At Trapping Licence Level 2, the player also gains access to more advanced animal trapping options. On Hunter's Crafting Table, the same licence level unlocks the Auto Animal Trap, which uses a Balloon, a Balloon, or a Star Balloon as part of its recipe.

When using placed items such as traps, the normal interaction controls apply: you can pick up a placed item, release it, or drop it.
