Alpha Croco

Alpha Croco is a large alpha-tier crocodile found in Billabong, Rivers, and Great Bite. It only spawns while the player has accepted a related quest from the Bulletin Board, making it a quest-dependent enemy rather than a permanent part of the local wildlife.

Like other alpha creatures, Alpha Croco is aggressive by default and has significantly high health and damage. Its standard offense consists of a bite and a tail slash, and both attacks are telegraphed before they land. In addition, it can unleash an eruption of ground spikes as a special attack, which makes close combat risky if the player stays in one place for too long.

For hunting, spears are the most versatile weapon type against it. Because of its durability and damage output, combat-enhancing foods such as Dagwood Dog or Prime Roast can make the fight much easier. Staying on the animal’s back is sometimes effective, since it has trouble lining up its bite attack from that position.

• On death, Alpha Croco drops Raw Prime Meat and may also drop an Alpha Scale.
• Completing the Bulletin Board task rewards a generous amount of Dinks.
• Defeating an Alpha Croco contributes to the Alpha Hunter milestone.
