Alpha Shark

Alpha Shark is a hostile aquatic animal found in Island Reef. It only appears after the shipwreck has been broken with an axe or chainsaw, making access to the area a prerequisite before it can be encountered.

It is aggressive by default and attacks with a lunging bite as well as a powerful stomp that creates multiple pulsating earthquakes around it. Because of its high damage and health, it is a dangerous target in direct combat. The spear and its variants are especially versatile for hunting, and combat-boosting foods such as Dagwood Dog or Prime Roast make the fight easier.

When defeated, Alpha Shark drops Raw Prime Meat and can sometimes drop an Alpha Shark Tooth. A rarer drop is the Shark Egg. Defeating one also counts toward the Alpha Hunter milestone.
