Overview

Bin Chooks are passive bird-like animals found in Dinkum. They are not typically dangerous to the player, and their flighty behavior makes them difficult to corner. When frightened, they can fly over fences, so simple enclosures are not always enough to keep them contained.

They do not eat crops, so they do not interfere with farming the way some other wildlife can. Bin Chooks also drop feathers periodically while flying around, which makes them a useful ambient source of materials even before hunting them.

If you want to hunt one, the safest approach is to stun it first, then finish it with a weapon. A Torch or Bat Zapper works well at night for stunning, and a Slingshot or Advanced Sling Shot is also effective. On death, Bin Chooks can drop feathers, bone, and raw drumstick. They may also drop a random relic, which is delivered in the mailbox the next day.
