Carpenters Bench

Carpenters Bench is a crafting station that can draw crafting materials from nearby containers when the Use nearby inventories setting is enabled. With that checkmark turned on, it can access materials stored in containers within a maximum range of ±5 tiles.

This makes the bench much easier to use in a workshop or base where storage is arranged close to the crafting area. Instead of carrying every ingredient in your inventory, you can keep common materials in adjacent containers and still craft normally from the bench.

• Nearby containers must be within 5 tiles to be counted.
• The feature only works if Use nearby inventories is checked.
• A setup with the bench surrounded by storage can reduce inventory management when crafting repeatedly.
