Hunt

Overview

Hunt is an in-game activity that involves tracking and defeating hostile creatures and hostile structures encountered across a world. It is closely tied to exploration, resource gathering, and progression: many drops, materials, and rare items are obtained only by defeating specific enemies during hunts or by clearing hostile areas.

Hunts occur in overworld biomes and in special locations such as the Dungeon Entrance and other named points of interest. Players initiate hunts simply by entering areas inhabited by enemies or by deliberately seeking out high-threat spawns such as mini-bosses and enemy camps. Successful hunts typically reward combat experience, monster-specific loot, and sometimes unique crafting components needed for advanced recipes.

Practical notes and tactics:

  • Approach hunts with adequate preparation: bring healing items, appropriate armor, and weapons that exploit enemy weaknesses. Ranged options help against swarms and flying foes; area-effect weapons speed up clearing camps.
  • Use terrain and structures to control engagements: chokepoints and elevation reduce incoming damage and limit the number of foes that can strike at once.
  • Many materials necessary for crafting and progression drop only from particular enemies or from cleared enemy areas, so prioritize hunting targets that yield the components you need.
  • Persistent or repeatable enemy spawns make farm routes viable; establish a safe base near the hunting area to restock and store loot.
  • Some chairs and decorative items are not obtained through crafting and must be looted or purchased; for example, Dungeon Chairs, Gold Chairs, and Spider Castle Chairs cannot be crafted and must be acquired by other means during exploration and hunts.
