A strengthened gate forged with iron. Feels much safer than wooden gate.

Overview

Iron Gate is a zoning building used to control who can enter a designated area, functioning similarly to the Wooden Door. It lets you set access restrictions for a compartment or passage, making it useful for separating safe areas from hazardous ones.

Its main purpose is defense and traffic control. By placing Iron Gates around a kill zone lined with traps, you can prevent A_Ratizen from walking into the danger area while still allowing the units you want to pass through. The gate can be configured with permission rules, such as allowing only the leader, only soldiers, only A_Ratizen registered in the Ratizen Register, or only specific ranks.

Because it is an access-control tool rather than a simple barrier, Iron Gate is especially valuable in bases with layered defenses, restricted work zones, or rooms that should remain off-limits to most A_Ratizen. Used well, it helps keep combat routes clear, protects civilians from trap corridors, and lets military or designated personnel move through without opening the area to everyone.
