Citizen Traits

Every Ratizen in Ratopia is born with traits that modify their stats — maximum HP, stamina drain, work speed, mood, and more. Positive traits (green) help, negative traits (red) hinder, and assigning the right citizen to the right job around their traits is central to running an efficient colony. Prefers the High

Description

Prefers the High is a social-class trait for citizens that places them in the highest class. While assigned to this class, a citizen can use all food, daily necessities, and services unless those are restricted by a Code Stone.

If, when a new day begins, the citizen cannot satisfy either a personal wealth of 3000 or daily necessities of 46, they are demoted to the middle class. Keeping this class stable requires a comparatively high maintenance cost, with daily living expenses of about 90 Pia.

Official description

When belonging to The high, [M]Happiness [A].

Prefers the Middle

Description

The Middle Class is the middle tier among the citizen ranks assigned to A_Ratizen. It sits between the Poverty Class and the Upper Class, and a Ratizen can move into it when their money and 생활用品 requirements are met at the daily rank-up check.

A Ratizen can rise to the Upper Class when, at the turn of the day, they have at least 3000 money and 46 생활用品. If they fail to meet either of the Poverty Class conditions, having less than 500 money or less than 20 생활用品, they will fall to the Poverty Class instead.

Maintaining a Ratizen in the Middle Class generally requires about 80 to 90 Pia per day as a living expense. This makes it a transitional tier that is useful to watch closely: it is easier to keep than the Upper Class, but falling below its thresholds can quickly drag a citizen back down.

Official description

When belonging to The middle, [M]Happiness [A].

Prefers the Poor

Description

Prefers the Poor is the lowest social class that can be assigned to a citizen in Ratopia. Citizens in this class are the least privileged among the available class tiers, but they can still work normally in buildings that would otherwise require a higher social class for personal use.

A citizen can be promoted to the middle class when the day changes if they meet both of the following conditions:

  • They have 500 money or more.
  • They have +20 living supplies.

Because their daily living cost is around 50 to 70 Pia, it is important to keep enough money on hand, often by using the Code Stone to provide subsidies.

By default, this class cannot access most food and resources for private use, so if you want them to use those goods directly, you need to adjust trade laws in the Code Stone. The restriction applies only to private use, however, so it does not prevent them from working. A poor-class citizen can work in buildings such as the Pub, which normally requires middle class or higher for use, and can also take jobs that produce living goods they would not be able to purchase themselves.
