Silk

Silk is a valuable trade item and one of the best ways to make money after Coral Gem. Sold directly, it can generate around 4,800 Pia per day. Because it is expensive and easy to move through trade, it is a strong late-game cash source once production is established.

Silk can be produced more efficiently depending on local resources and imports:

• If Spider Web can be gathered near your city, making Dye from Cactus Flower helps keep material costs low.
• Spider Web and Silkworm Cocoon can both be imported, but if there are no Spiders nearby, producing Silk from Silkworm Cocoon is more efficient.
• Even when Silkworm Cocoon is made at a Cocoonery, producing leaves from Grass Field is very inefficient, so importing leaves is usually the better option.

In practice, Silk is most useful when you want a reliable export good rather than a domestic material. Its value makes it worth setting up a dedicated supply chain, especially if your settlement already has access to Cactus Flower, Spider Web, or imported cocoon-based production.
