A web created by spider with so much time and effort. Guess something could be made with this sticky net.

Overview

Spider Web is an object placed on the map by Spiders in the mine biome. While it exists as a map object, it can be turned into an item and collected either by colliding with it or by attacking it with a weapon.

If a rat bumps into a Spider Web, it is still recoverable, but the rat receives a movement speed debuff for 2 hours. Because of that, it is usually more efficient to gather it with combat or by planning a safe route, rather than sending workers through it carelessly.

Spider Web has two major uses. It is used as a construction resource for Deweb, and it is also processed in the Weaving Mill as a material for Silk. Both uses are important in the midgame and beyond: Deweb is essential for maintaining a stable water supply, while Silk supports a profitable export chain, including further processed goods.

A practical way to profit from Spider Web is to lure Spiders closer to the city and harvest the webs they place there. This can make the item available at very little cost, since the web itself is generated by the Spider and only needs to be collected afterward. When managed well, it becomes a reliable source of material for both infrastructure and industry.

  • Found in the mine biome as a Spider-generated map object.
  • Can be collected by bumping into it or by attacking it.
  • Bumping into it applies a 2-hour movement speed debuff.
  • Used to build Deweb.
  • Used as a material for Silk in the Weaving Mill.
  • Especially valuable when Spiders are brought near the settlement, since the webs can be collected with minimal expense.
