Overview

Gold Ore is an ore resource found mainly in desert regions and cave areas. It is a late-game mineral with one of the highest economic values in the game, and its primary use is as the base material for producing Gold Ingots in a Furnace, which can then be processed into Gold Coins in a Mint.

Its biggest strength is its conversion efficiency. One Gold Ore can be refined into 10 Gold Coins with a face value of 100 Pia each, for a total of 1000 Pia. Even after subtracting the coal cost required for processing, this still leaves 985 Pia of profit, making it an excellent source of money. Because of this, Gold Ore is considered the strongest money-making resource available when used efficiently.

A single natural Gold Ore tile also yields 3 Gold Ore when mined, which means one tile alone can be converted into 3000 Pia worth of coins. This makes fully mined natural deposits extremely valuable and worth prioritizing whenever they are found.

Gold Ore can also be imported from the three mining cities and the three volcanic cities, so it is not limited to direct extraction in the player’s own territory. In practice, this makes it a reliable resource to support coin production even if local deposits are scarce.
