Ore Excavator

Ore Excavator is a basic mining building used to extract primary ores during the early phase of a mission. It is intended as an early-game workhorse for securing essential raw materials and can only be deployed on deposits of Titanium, Wolfram, or Calcium. The building is the Level 2 reward from the Training Corporation in the Corporate Terminal.

Ore Excavator produces the ore specific to the deposit it occupies. Each extraction cycle yields two units of the local ore and the cycle completes every two seconds. This results in throughput that scales with deposit quality: on Impure deposits the effective output is 60 units per minute, on Normal deposits it is 120 units per minute, and on Pure deposits it is 240 units per minute. The extractor therefore provides identical production characteristics for Calcium Ore, Titanium Ore, and Wolfram Ore when placed on their respective deposits.

• Unlocking: obtained as the Level 2 reward from the Training Corporation in the Corporate Terminal.
• Placement: can be placed only on Titanium, Wolfram, or Calcium deposits. It cannot be placed on other deposit types.
• Output per cycle: 2 ore every 2 seconds.
• Effective rates by deposit quality: 60/min (Impure), 120/min (Normal), 240/min (Pure).
• Produced items: Calcium Ore when on Calcium deposits; Titanium Ore when on Titanium deposits; Wolfram Ore when on Wolfram deposits.

Practical notes: deploy Ore Excavators early to establish a steady supply of basic ores required for construction and production. Prioritize placing extractors on higher-quality (Normal or Pure) deposits to maximize yield per building. Because each extractor is tied to a specific deposit type, site selection and scouting matter for balanced resource intake. The extractor’s simple and consistent output makes it predictable for planning supply chains and initial factory layouts.
