Overview

The Brazier is a decorative building added in Update 5. It functions as a static light source and aesthetic object for settlements, often placed on Platforms or in plazas to enhance visual appeal and provide ambient illumination for nearby structures and paths. The Brazier does not consume fuel or require maintenance once built.

Construction requires wood-based materials and metal components. In Version 1 the cost was recorded as 12 Plank and 2 Metal Block; subsequent changes altered this to 12 Plank and 4 Scrap Metal. The Brazier is placed like other small buildings and fits under a Platform, allowing it to be integrated into multi-level constructions and tightly packed plazas.

The Brazier appears in the build menu as a non-functional decorative structure rather than a utility building. Its primary purpose is to improve the appearance of districts and to add light to areas that lack functional lighting fixtures.

  • Place Braziers on Platforms or ground tiles in public spaces, entrances, and walkways to create coherent lighting schemes without consuming resources after construction.
  • Because they fit under Platforms, Braziers are useful for lighting multi-level setups where space is constrained or where visual layering is desired.
  • The Brazier requires only its one-time construction cost; it does not require workers for upkeep or ongoing inputs.
