A few practical details stand out when dealing with it:
- It does not attack if it cannot find a path to a target through walls or toward a light source.
Lit Floor prevents its wall-breaking advance by removing the conditions it needs to keep pushing forward.
- If spawned by
The Hive Mother, it will move in a straight line toward the player while destroying every wall in its path, as long as it remains hostile.
- Because it can chew through placed walls, it is more dangerous to fortifications than a normal larva, especially in narrow corridors.
In combat, the Big Hive Larva should be treated as a pressure enemy rather than a simple melee threat. Its main danger is not only its direct attacks, but also the way it opens paths for other enemies and tears apart defensive structures. Keeping important objects away from larva routes and maintaining lighted, unobstructed passages helps limit the damage it can cause.
