Overview

Emanate is a unit in Mindustry distinguished primarily by its extreme speed and its role as a healing/support unit rather than a direct damage dealer. It does not possess conventional weapon fire; instead its only active effect is continuous healing delivered at a very high rate. This makes Emanate suitable for rapid-response support, rescuing damaged units, and sustaining swarms during fast hit-and-run maneuvers.

Emanate heals at 2 × 108 health per second, applied continuously rather than as discrete projectiles or shots. It has no offensive weapons, no inaccuracy, and no knockback; its purpose is exclusively restorative. The unit’s defining gameplay characteristic is its top movement speed: Emanate is the fastest unit in Mindustry across both planets, allowing it to reach allies or retreat quickly and to traverse the battlefield faster than any other unit.

Because Emanate cannot deal damage, its value lies in positioning and timing. Deploy Emanates to accompany fragile but fast attackers, to follow heavy frontline units and repair them between engagements, or to rapidly reinforce points under heavy fire. Their exceptional speed also makes them effective at intercepting incoming wounded units and ferrying them to safety or to repair zones.

  • Pair Emanates with units that benefit most from sustained healing (fragile glass-cannon units or forward raiders).
  • Use their speed to exploit openings: they can cross contested ground quickly to turn the tide by restoring critical units.
  • Avoid treating Emanates as frontline combatants; they will not contribute to damage output and are vulnerable if isolated.
  • Positioning matters: keep them moving with the formation so enemies cannot focus them down before their healing has effect.

Emanate’s niche is unambiguous: unrivaled mobility and powerful continuous healing make it the premier support unit for fast-paced strategies where keeping units alive through rapid engagements is more valuable than direct firepower.
