Exploration Office

The Exploration Office is a building used to send A_Ratizen on exploration missions, allowing the colony to uncover nearby territory and locate neighbors. Its role is to support map exploration and expand diplomatic and strategic options by revealing what lies beyond the settlement.

Before version 1.0.0200, the exploration function was part of the Diplomatic Office, but it was moved here and its operation was changed. To start an expedition, open the Exploration Office details and choose both the region to be dispatched and the A_Ratizen who will handle it. Unlike the earlier system, exploration now consumes an A_Ratizen instead of being tied to the old diplomacy workflow.

This change makes exploration much more flexible. Because multiple expeditions can be carried out at the same time, there is no longer a need to advance exploration little by little from the early game. If you have spare labor available, you can push exploration forward quickly and uncover more of the map in a single burst.

• Use it when you want to reveal surrounding areas and identify neighboring settlements or points of interest.
• Assigning A_Ratizen directly means expeditions compete with your workforce, so it is best to send A_Ratizen only when the colony can spare them.
• Since several expeditions can run in parallel, the building is especially effective in the midgame and later, when extra labor becomes available.
• The updated system allows a more flexible diplomatic strategy, because exploration can be accelerated whenever you have enough idle A_Ratizen.
