The Wooden Ladder is an upgraded ladder building used to help rats move vertically more efficiently. It provides a +30% movement speed bonus, which is a noticeable improvement over the leaf-made ladder, which only grants +5%. Because of that, it becomes the better long-term option once it is available.

Its main advantage is that it is much easier to scale into mass production than the leaf version, since Wooden Stick is easier to produce in quantity. For that reason, unlocking its research early and replacing older ladders with Wooden Ladder can make travel around your settlement much smoother.
