Furnace v.2

Improved basic production building. Utilizes heat to make Products. Offers optimized recipes designed for higher production output as well as recipes of higher Value when sent to Corporations.
Overview

The default foundation footprint of Furnace v.2 is 4W x 5L, with an alternate size of 5W x 5L. This makes it one block wider than the basic Furnace, allowing for different layout choices when planning factory floors. Furnace v.2 processes inputs rapidly and yields multiple commodity and intermediate Products commonly used across mid-tier production chains.
Core recipes available in Furnace v.2 include production of

- Calcium Powder: consumes 2
Calcium Block to produce 10 Calcium Powder in 3 seconds (rate 200/min).
- Wolfram Powder: consumes 2
Wolfram Bar to produce 10 Wolfram Powder in 2 seconds (rate 300/min).
- Ceramics: consumes 1
Calcite Sheets, 2
Helium-3, and 1 Wolfram Powder to produce 4 Ceramics in 2 seconds (rate 120/min).
- Chemicals: consumes 1 Calcium Powder, 2 Wolfram Powder, 4 Helium-3, and 1 Goethite Ingot to produce 4 Chemicals in 2 seconds (rate 120/min).
- Glass: consumes 1
Pressurized Helium, 1 Calcite Sheets, and 1 Goethite Ingot to produce 1 Glass in 3 seconds (rate 20/min).
- Heat Resistant Sheet: consumes 1 Titanoferrite Ingot, 1 Wolfram Steel Ingot, and 3 Helium-3 to produce 5 Heat Resistant Sheet in 4 seconds (rate 75/min).
- Hardening Agent: consumes 2 Sulfuric Acid, 1
Synthetic Silicon, 1
Applicator, and 1 Pressurized Helium to produce 5 Hardening Agent in 4 seconds (rate 75/min).
Practical notes for layout and operation:
- Footprint: choose between the 4x5 default or the 5x5 alternate footprint to match conveyer and power grid planning; the unit occupies more space than the basic Furnace but delivers higher throughput.
- Heat requirement: the building relies on heat-based processes; ensure appropriate heat source or building placement within production lines that supply required thermal conditions and inputs.
- Recipe selection: prioritize recipes that match your supply chain. Wolfram Powder yields one of the highest per-minute outputs (300/min) and is effective where raw Wolfram Bars are abundant.
- Upstream feeding: several recipes require Helium-3 and other intermediate goods; provision adequate supply chains (miners, pressurizers, and intermediate assemblers) to avoid bottlenecks.
- Corporate value: some recipes are specifically of higher Value when shipped to Corporations; use those where corporate contracts or high-value shipments are the goal.
Furnace v.2 integrates into mid-tier industrial networks where space can be traded for faster, higher-value production, and it serves as a key processing building for many advanced manufacturing chains.
