Purified Corn

Purified Corn is an edible, sowable crop item obtained by cleansing Corrupted Corn at specific purification facilities in Flathill. It functions both as food and as seed: players can eat it for nutrition or plant it in Garden Plots to raise additional corn. Purified Corn appears in the game world only after Corrupted Corn has been processed at the Flathill Syrup Company or the Flathill Crown Control Facility; the purification removes the corruption and any lingering harmful effects associated with the corrupted variant.

Acquisition requires access to a purified-room inside the Flathill Syrup Company building, located across the street from Sweet Freeze in Flathill. The purification process itself is not available until the fungus blocking the relevant room is cleared; the item Anti-Fungal Gelatin is required to remove that fungal obstruction and permit entry. Once the room is accessible, Corrupted Corn can be purified there to produce Purified Corn.

Purified Corn behaves like a standard seedable crop with one notable persistence trait when used in certain Garden Plot types: after harvest the planted Purified Corn does not vanish and need replanting. Instead, harvesting resets the plant to a 5/5 growth stage, so it only needs to complete a single growth cycle before yielding again rather than regrowing from seed. This makes Purified Corn efficient for continuous yield in those Garden Plots that support this behavior.
