Teleporter Pad

A deployable gateway that can connect to another gateway - just about anywhere - as long as it's powered.
Overview
The

Because the pad requires electrical power to establish and maintain its connection, it is typically used in conjunction with generators, vehicle power systems, or established base wiring. A pad does not function without an active power feed; when power is removed the link is not available. The pads operate as endpoint pairs: one pad connects to another pad to enable movement between those two points.
Use the
Placement flexibility: pads can be deployed in a wide variety of terrain and interior spaces. Choose locations that are clear of heavy obstructions to avoid placement failures and to allow safe entry and exit for users and carried cargo.
Power planning: ensure each pad has a reliable power source. Portable generators, base power grids, or vehicle-mounted power can be used where available. Consider backup power or easy access to restore power if the link is mission-critical.
Pairing and routing: pads form a direct connection to their designated counterpart. Plan pad pairs deliberately so that each connection serves a clear logistical or tactical purpose (e.g., base ↔ forward outpost, extraction point ↔ staging area).
Tactical use: place a pad to provide rapid reinforcement, evacuation, or resupply to remote positions. Because the device is deployable, it can be used to extend operational reach without constructing permanent infrastructure.
Security and denial: since a pad can enable opponents to travel into your area if they gain access to the paired endpoint, secure both ends of the link and protect power supplies. If an enemy captures or disables one pad or its power, the link will fail.
Mobility and redeployment: the
Teleporter Pad’s deployable nature makes it suitable for temporary operations. When a position is no longer needed, recover or disable the pad and its power source to prevent enemy reuse.
Integration with logistics: use pads to shorten supply lines or to ferry high-value items quickly between points. Ensure paths to and from the pads can handle the volume and type of traffic you intend to move.
