Nuclear reactor II

Official description

Advanced thermal reactor that provides increased throughput. This reactor is also able to utilize MOX fuel. It can also regulate its power level automatically (if computing is provided). This plant can be set up to effectively provide up to {0} MW of electricity when running on full power.

Overview

Nuclear reactor II is a building with automatic regulation that adjusts its power output based on heat demand. When enabled, it reduces power automatically as the reactor approaches conditions that would otherwise overproduce heat, helping prevent overheating.

Automatic regulation cannot lower output below the first power level, X1. Because of that, emergency cooling is mandatory if the supply or consumption of the relevant reactor inputs can drop below the amount required for the first level (X1). In situations where that risk does not exist, emergency cooling is not strictly required, but it is still highly recommended.
