Mush Fry

Overview

Mush Frys consume both Dirt and Water indirectly because Mush Bars require those resources upstream: feeding Duplicants with Mush Frys effectively spends the raw ingredients that went into the Mush Bars. Practically, feeding a Duplicant with Mush Frys uses roughly 71.4 kg Dirt and 71.4 kg Water per cycle when accounting for the input cost of producing the Mush Bars that are fried into Mush Frys. Because of this input overhead, Mush Frys are not a high-efficiency food source compared with more advanced recipes; they are valuable mainly as a way to convert surplus Mush Bars into edible meals.
Operational notes and practical advice:
- Convert Mush Bars into Mush Frys whenever possible. Mush Frys are significantly more desirable for Duplicant consumption than raw Mush Bars, and the building provides a straightforward way to make bars usable as meals.
- Prioritize avoiding the production of Mush Bars unless you plan to process them into Mush Frys. Mush Bars on their own are inefficient to serve; always turn Mush Bars into Mush Frys to maximize their utility.
- The building is best used in early- to mid-game bases where Dirt and Water are plentiful but more advanced food options (like Hydroponic farms or Agricraft recipes) are not yet available.
- Place the
Mush Fry near storage for Mush Bars and near dining areas to minimize transit time and keep Duplicants efficient when hauling and consuming meals.
