Overview

Automated Notifier is a logic building used to create a custom notification when an automation condition is met. It does not directly control machinery by itself; instead, it serves as an alerting endpoint in an automation system, letting the player define how a warning is presented when a connected signal changes state.

Its configuration panel lets you set the notification’s title, hover text, visual and audio style, and whether the game should pause or zoom to the building when the alert appears. This makes it useful for monitoring critical colony conditions without constantly watching every subsystem.

Practical uses include calling attention to events such as overheated machinery, full storage, low resources, or any other automation-driven condition the colony wants to track. Because the building is focused on notification design rather than control logic, it is most effective when paired with sensors, logic gates, or other automation components that detect the condition you care about.

  • Name: sets the notification title shown to the player.
  • Tooltip: sets the hover text for the notification.
  • Type: selects the notification’s visual and audio style.
  • Pause: pauses time when the notification appears if enabled.
  • Zoom: moves the camera to the building when the notification appears if enabled.

The Automated Notifier is especially valuable in large or highly automated colonies, where important failures can happen outside the player’s current view. By combining it with a pause or zoom action, it can turn a routine status signal into an immediate call for attention.
