Artifact Transport Module

Overview

The Artifact Transport Module holds artifacts found in space. It is used on a Rocket to collect space artifacts from destinations encountered during space travel, adding another layer of reward to late-game exploration beyond simple resource extraction.

Each space location can provide at most one artifact, and after an artifact is taken it takes time for that location to replenish. Loading multiple Artifact Transport Modules onto a single Rocket does not allow multiple artifacts to be taken from the same space location at once. Instead, multiple modules are used by visiting multiple destinations in sequence. A Rocket can collect one random artifact from each destination that has been set as a destination, so a Rocket equipped with three modules can visit locations A, B, and C in order and obtain three separate random artifacts.

  • The relevant locations must be set as Rocket destinations one after another; simply passing by them is not enough.
  • If an artifact has already been collected from a location, that location must replenish before it can provide another one.
  • A save/load performed after taking an artifact from space and before landing causes the artifact to disappear, even though the starmap still shows it normally.
