Atmo Switch

Overview

The Atmo Switch is a building that cuts power when the atmospheric (air) pressure around it exceeds a configurable threshold. It monitors local air pressure and disables its electrical output once the measured pressure rises above the value set by the player.

The switch’s threshold is adjustable in its interface; changing the setpoint determines the pressure level at which the Atmo Switch will open (turn power off). It therefore functions as a pressure-triggered on/off power control tied to the immediate surrounding atmosphere rather than to temperature or gas composition.

Practical notes and uses:

  • Place the Atmo Switch where it can read the air pressure you care about; it responds to the pressure of the tiles that surround it.
  • Adjust the setpoint to the desired pressure so the switch opens at the correct moment.
  • Use it to automatically disable machines or power circuits when pressure conditions change beyond a target value (for example, to protect equipment or to gate processes that must only run under certain pressure conditions).
  • Remember that the switch reacts to atmospheric pressure, not to specific gases or temperature.
