Oxygen Mask Dock

Overview

The Oxygen Mask Dock is a building that stores Oxygen Masks when they are not being worn and automatically refills those masks while they remain docked. It functions as a dedicated storage and maintenance location for masks designed to supply breathable oxygen to their users, keeping spare and unused masks topped up and ready for future use.

The dock accepts only masks of the appropriate type and holds them in a ready state; masks placed in the dock are considered out of active use and receive their refill process while docked. This allows masks to be kept at full capacity between uses, reducing the need to manually manage or exchange partially depleted masks during routine operations.

  • Stores unused Oxygen Masks and keeps them out of active circulation until needed.
  • Refills docked masks automatically so they are returned to service at full charge.
  • Serves as a fixed location to organize masks for crews or characters that rely on them.

Because the Oxygen Mask Dock centralizes both storage and refilling, it is useful wherever having charged spare masks on hand is important. Positioning docks near areas where masks are frequently required ensures that replacement masks are immediately available and already refilled when a user swaps equipment. Placing multiple docks supports larger teams or high turnover of mask use, while even a single dock provides a convenient, automated way to maintain a small stock of ready masks.

The dock’s simplicity makes it a background utility: it does not itself produce masks, nor does it change how masks are consumed during use. Its role is maintenance and organization — holding masks when they are not worn and restoring their supply so the same masks can be redeployed without manual refilling steps.
