Automation Receiver

Overview
The Automation Receiver is an automation building used to receive a signal from a paired
Because both buildings can be placed inside rockets, unpiloted rockets can be used as automation relays. A practical setup is to build a small rocket with a Trailblazer Module and enough range to reach 5 tiles, place an Automation Broadcaster and an Automation Receiver inside it, and connect them with the desired automation wire or ribbon. Launch the rocket with a duplicant aboard to orbit, then use the Trailblazer to land the duplicant back on the surface, leaving the rocket in autopilot. After that, set the rocket’s course to the desired location and leave it there broadcasting signals.
A few useful notes:
- The receiver only works when paired with a broadcaster.
- It can be used even when the rocket is left unattended, making it useful for long-distance automation links.
- Despite warning messages that it cannot function, an Automation Receiver will still receive its paired Automation Broadcaster’s signal even if it is not visible, is buried, or has lost its foundation.
This makes the Automation Receiver especially valuable for remote colonies, satellite outposts, and rocket-based infrastructure where running a physical wire across the entire map is impractical.
