Once one Galaxy Sword has been obtained, another Prismatic Shard cannot be used to repeat the process for an additional copy. If the weapon is later lost or sold, a replacement can be purchased from 
Obtaining the Galaxy Sword also unlocks the 

- The sword’s acquisition consumes the Prismatic Shard permanently.
- The method requires the correct position between the Three Pillars, not simply being in the desert.
- It is one of the few weapons with special protection against mine-related loss on death.
- After the first acquisition, the game prevents using another Prismatic Shard to obtain a second copy.
- If the player wants to replace a lost or sold copy, Marlon sells another one.
- Unlocking it expands the Guild’s weapon stock to include the Galaxy Hammer and Galaxy Dagger.
