Overview

Suspension Bridge 4x1 is a suspension bridge building that spans gaps by suspending a four-block-long span between anchor points. It is constructed so that one block serves as an anchor point on either side while the remaining four blocks form the suspended roadway across the gap. The bridge is categorized under Suspension Bridges and designed for crossing moderate chasms or water channels where a continuous solid foundation is unavailable.

Suspension Bridge 4x1 always occupies five block positions in total: two anchor blocks (one on each end) plus a four-block suspension span. A single Suspension Bridge 4x1 covers a gap of four blocks between its anchors. Placing two Suspension Bridge 4x1 structures end-to-end doubles the span capability, allowing an effective continuous crossing of up to eight blocks when configured adjacently.

When planning bridge placement, align anchor points on stable ground or prepared foundation blocks to ensure the bridge connects correctly; the functional span is defined by the four suspended blocks rather than the total footprint. Multiple Suspension Bridge 4x1 units can be combined to create longer crossings, but each individual unit still requires its own anchors and will be treated as a distinct bridge segment for building and maintenance purposes.
