Overview

Fluid Dump is a building that disposes of stored fluids by releasing them through a dedicated outlet. The structure occupies two blocks both vertically and horizontally: one vertical block contains the shed where a worker stands and the Goods are stored, and the other vertical block contains the outlet that discharges the fluids. The terrain directly below the outlet must be at least one block lower than the Fluid Dump's base to allow the outlet to function and release fluid into the adjacent block.

Haulers or the assigned worker must supply the Goods required by the Fluid Dump. Workers retrieve those Goods from Pumps or Tanks, which serve as sources of fluid for the building. When the Fluid Dump releases water onto dry ground, the water filling the block below the outlet will irrigate that terrain. Irrigated terrain becomes fertile and can be tilled, which makes Fluid Dumps useful as irrigation sources in locations where canals are impractical or cannot reach.

Fluid Dumps stop dumping when the fluid level in the block directly below the outlet reaches about 0.5 meters. This automatic cutoff prevents continuous overflowing once the target block is partially filled.

  • Place the Fluid Dump with its outlet facing the block you intend to irrigate; the outlet must face a block one vertical step lower than the Fluid Dump base.
  • Supply fluids by connecting Pumps or Tanks within hauling range so workers can pick up the Goods and operate the building.
  • Use Fluid Dumps to create isolated patches of fertile land where canals are not feasible; dumping onto dry ground converts that block to irrigated/fertile once water accumulates.
  • Be aware of the automatic stop at ~0.5 m fluid depth in the target block to avoid expecting a full block of water from a single Fluid Dump.
  • Ensure pathing and logistics allow haulers or the worker to access Pumps or Tanks reliably, so the Fluid Dump remains supplied and functional.
