Overview

The Button Board is a bulletin board used for town requests and deeds in Dinkum. It is the place where Townsperson tasks can appear, including cooking requests, crafting requests, photo requests, clothing trades, and investigation requests. It also appears in Fletch’s Deeds list as a deed that can be completed instantly for 1 Town Debt, with the input showing 1 Button Board, though the listed items are not required.

A Button Board can be crafted from an Additional Bulletin Board using 6 and 8 of the listed input materials. Once placed, it functions as a request board for the town, allowing residents to post jobs and players to accept them.

Photo requests on the board are especially tied to camera gameplay. After the relevant museum progress, Theodore sells the Camera and Camera Tripod, and accepting a photo request marks a Camera icon on the map. The player must travel to that location, take a photo of the requested subject or nearby area, then show the resulting photo to the requesting Townsperson. Completed photos are removed from the photos tab in the Adventurer’s Journal.

  • Request examples include:
    • Cook some dish requests, where a Townsperson asks for a specific ingredient and rewards a prepared dish.
    • Crafting requests, which ask for a set number of a crafted item.
    • Photo requests, which may ask for a photo near a location or of a specific subject.
    • Want to Trade clothing requests, which exchange one clothing item for another.
    • Investigation requests, which send the player to a marked location to recover items from Satellite or Jolly Sack events.
  • The board is central to daily town interactions and is one of the main ways to receive rewards from residents.
