Larva Suit

Larva Suit is an equippable item crafted from the remains of Hive Larva. The suit is explicitly designed to mimic the appearance and scent of larval creatures, allowing the wearer to move among Hive Larva and related organisms with reduced suspicion. It functions as a stealth/guise tool rather than protective armor, changing NPC and creature reactions rather than providing significant defensive stats.

The Larva Suit can be obtained in two ways: by collecting and assembling all required crafting materials, or by defeating the boss Nyth, which unlocks the suit directly. Once acquired, the suit must be worn to produce its social-stealth effects; simply carrying it does not alter creature behavior.

Practical effects and interactions:

• While worn, Hive Larva and similar creatures are less likely to detect or become hostile toward the wearer, enabling safer passage through larval clusters and facilitating nonviolent approaches.
• The suit does not make the wearer invisible; hostile entities triggered by other factors (loud actions, combat aggression, environmental alarms) can still attack.
• Some friendly NPCs or companions may react to the suit. In particular, a Coworker companion will occasionally comment, saying "Take that off." This line indicates NPC discomfort rather than any mechanical penalty.
• The suit is most effective for bypassing passive detection checks tied to Hive Larva behavior. Use it when the goal is infiltration, reconnaissance, or to avoid attracting groups of larval creatures while performing objectives nearby.
• Combine the Larva Suit with low-noise movement and avoidance of direct interaction with larval brood to maximize its benefit; aggressive or conspicuous actions will negate its disguise.

Acquisition and usage tips:

• If you prefer progression through combat, prioritize reaching and defeating Nyth to obtain the suit without farming all components.
• If crafting, gather the specific larval remains and related reagents indicated in the recipe screen; collecting all materials unlocks the suit for immediate construction.
• Equip the suit before entering zones populated predominantly by Hive Larva to reduce hostile encounters and open alternative routes or dialogue options.
• Be mindful of environmental hazards and scripted events: the disguise does not prevent scripted hostility or scripted quest triggers tied to the player’s identity.

The Larva Suit is a situational but powerful tool for nonconfrontational playstyles around larval ecosystems. Its primary value lies in changing social reactions of Hive Larva and their ilk, enabling stealthy navigation and mission flexibility where direct combat would be costly.
