Milk Sac

Milk Sac is a harvested biological item that contains a yeasty, milky substance enclosed in a biological sac. It appears as a fermented or cultured milk-like material rather than ready-to-use milk; processing is required to produce pure milk suitable for crafting or consumption. The item is intended for conversion at a Distillation Bench, where it is distilled into Vials of Milk.

Milk Sacs are obtained by harvesting the corpses of specific creatures. They are commonly dropped by Sow Peccary and Exor Cha, which makes those enemies the primary early-game sources. The Wildlife Pens area in Cascade Laboratories, specifically at level 2, is the most efficient early farming spot because it spawns a high number of Sow Peccarys soon after the area becomes available. While these early sources are convenient, the majority of enemies that drop Milk Sacs are encountered much later in the campaign, with a particularly dense concentration in the Village Den da'ko Yeer region; players progressing to that area will find far more opportunities to collect Milk Sacs from late-game fauna.

Milk Sacs are processed at the Distillation Bench. Placing a Milk Sac into the Distillation Bench yields Vials of Milk, which represent the purified form of the substance and are used like other liquid ingredients in recipes or systems that require milk. Because the raw contents are described as fermented or yeasty, distillation is necessary to remove or transform their biological components into usable milk rather than attempting to use the raw sac material directly.

• Sources and farming: harvest Milk Sacs from dead Sow Peccary and Exor Cha. Early-game farming is most efficient in Cascade Laboratories (Wildlife Pens, level 2) due to frequent Sow Peccary spawns. For large-scale collection, prioritize exploring and clearing the Village Den da'ko Yeer area where most Milk Sac–bearing enemies appear.
• Processing: Milk Sacs cannot be used as-is for recipes that require milk; they must be distilled at a Distillation Bench to produce Vials of Milk.
• Role in progression: Milk Sacs serve as a raw ingredient that converts into a standard milk resource when distilled. Securing reliable farming routes (Cascade Labs early, Village Den da'ko Yeer later) ensures steady supply for any crafting lines or consumable needs that require milk.
