Saltz is a snack item that can be obtained primarily by spending one dollar at a Snacks Vending Machine. It can also spawn as loose loot in lockers and filing cabinets, and it appears in a number of kitchen and break-room style containers across the facility.

Known container locations include kitchen cabinets in several regions, especially areas with cafeterias or staff kitchens. These include the Security Office kitchenette in the Office Sector cafeteria, Bio Lab D, the kitchen between the Gym locker room and the Data Farm, the break room, and the small kitchen area under the Analysis Office. It also appears in the Bounty Basket store, the Sweet Freeze ice cream store, the Arcade, outdoor tables between the Library and the Flathill Syrup Company building, and the Flathill Syrup Company kitchen. Other reported spawn points include the kitchen near the Garage in Manufacturing West, the lobby kitchen and other kitchen cabinets in Cascade Laboratories, and the sub-area kitchen below the Electrical Station in Hydroplant.

Because Saltz is tied to common food-storage containers, it is worth checking any room that looks like a kitchenette, break room, or cafeteria. If you are already passing through these areas, opening cabinets and nearby lockers can be an easy way to collect extra snacks without spending money. Buying it from a vending machine is the most reliable method when you need one immediately.
