Atmospheric Condenser

Draws 20U/s power while active.
Overview
The Atmospheric Condenser is a small utility module used to harvest atmospheric resources from a planet’s atmosphere. It draws power while operating and produces gas into attached canisters, making it one of the main ways to obtain gases needed for chemistry and other late-game production chains.
The unit consumes 20 U/s and gathers gas at different speeds depending on the planet’s PPU value. Higher PPU means faster extraction: a unit of gas takes 10 seconds at 100 PPU, 13.33 seconds at 75 PPU, 20 seconds at 50 PPU, and 40 seconds at 25 PPU.
The Atmospheric Condenser works until all available storage slots on its platform are filled, assuming it is set to repeat. If it is placed on a small platform with only one canister slot available, it will produce only a single gas canister before stopping. With an extended storage setup, it can run for a very long time; in the largest practical configuration, it can fill up to 1152 canisters, or 5760 uses of gas.
- It can be mounted on a
Large Shuttle with power and storage, allowing mobile gas collection across different planets.
- It is especially useful for rare atmospheric resources, since you can leave it running while exploring and return to a large reserve.
- If the attached storage is full, the condenser stops automatically.
- When idle, it can be switched to a gas with insufficient concentration so it does not make noise.
- Prior to version 0.10.1.0, it was known as the
Fuel Condenser and produced
Hydrazine from planetary atmosphere.
Not every planet is equally useful for atmospheric harvesting. Some worlds have no gas to collect with the Atmospheric Condenser, while others only provide certain atmospheric resources.
