Power generator (large)
Optimized power generator with lower friction and better efficiency. The slower it spins the lower its efficiency is.
Overview
The Power generator (large) is a power-generation building whose output is automatically scaled by the current demand on the connected shaft. It is designed to follow the shaft’s charge level rather than running at a fixed rate, so its effective production rises and falls as the shaft fills or empties.
When the connected shaft drops to 25% capacity or less, the generator reduces its production. If the shaft falls to 10% capacity or less, the generator stops temporarily. In the range between those points, output is reduced according to the shaft’s charge ratio, so the building does not maintain full production unless the shaft has a healthy reserve.
- The generator performs best when the connected shaft stays well above 25% charge.
- Below 25% charge, output begins to taper off instead of remaining constant.
- At 10% charge or less, it shuts down until the shaft recovers.
- This makes storage and steady downstream demand important if you want reliable power from it.
