Practical notes and interactions:
- Plains Hedge is primarily decorative and does not provide solid cover like full walls; it can block direct movement in parts but is not typically used as a durable defensive barrier.
- Hedges influence navigation: they create choke points and can funnel hostile mobs or NPCs along predictable routes, which can be used tactically when placing traps or planning defenses.
- Hedges commonly appear in proximity to loot-bearing structures (Barrels, Storageboxes) inside Plains Ruins; searching around hedged areas is useful when hunting for Weapons or Trinkets.
- The Plains Biome and its village and ruin features have existed since the early versions of the game: the Plains Island became the Plains Biome in v1.0, and the Plains Biome (and its associated props like hedges) was first introduced in v0.27.0.
- Plains Hedge does not drop special items when destroyed beyond any standard resource yields assigned to foliage in the game; treat it as a terrain feature rather than a resource node.
