Reeds

Overview
Reeds are a natural plant resource that spawns in wet biomes and can be harvested for crafting and building in Necesse. They appear along water edges in marshy terrain and are commonly found in
Reeds are used primarily in early- to mid-game crafting recipes that require plant fiber-type materials. They provide a lightweight, renewable component for basic furniture, certain decorative items, and some crafting station inputs. Because they respawn when the player leaves and returns or after a region reset, harvesting reeds is a reliable way to stockpile material without dedicating farmland.
- Reeds spawn densely along shores of swamps and water bodies; search shallow water margins and small islands inside wetlands for the best concentration.
- They are collected by interacting with the reed patches; no tool is required, though some area-clearing tools speed movement through swamp terrain.
- Reeds are distinct from crops and flowers: they do not require seeds, planting, watering, or growth time and are not listed among farmable seed items.
- For sustained supply, note that reeds regrow only after the game unloads and reloads the chunk or after a sufficient in-game interval; walking away from the area and returning or fast-traveling back will typically restore harvestable patches.
- Because reeds are biome-tied, securing a base near swamp or river biomes reduces travel time for regular harvesting and makes it easy to maintain a steady resource flow for crafting and building projects.
