Tesla Tower

Tesla Tower is a power transmission building used to move Electricity across long distances. A common use is to generate and store power in underground facilities, then deliver it to the city center through Tesla Tower. This makes it a key part of a centralized power network, especially when your production and storage are far from the area that actually consumes the power.

Tesla Tower works as a paired system: one tower sends power and another receives it. Because of that, if you want to deliver Electricity to multiple separate locations, you must build a matching pair of Tesla Towers for each destination. It is not a single universal relay that can branch to many places at once.

On the receiving side, you must prepare at least one Storage Battery near the Tesla Tower. With that setup, the tower can supply Electricity to facilities within 20 tiles of the Storage Battery. In practice, this lets you establish a local power distribution point around the receiving tower, rather than needing to run direct connections everywhere.

Typical usage is to place production and storage in a protected or space-efficient area, then route the power upward or outward through Tesla Tower. For example, a deep base may run a Thermal Generator setup and send the resulting power to the surface, where it can be stored and distributed closer to the main settlement. This is especially useful when your industrial area and your residential or administrative area are separated by terrain.
