Mossy Seed

A Mossy Seed is a tree seed that grows into one of the Green Rain Tree variants. It can be obtained by shaking or chopping down a Green Rain Tree, including trees that temporarily become Green Rain Trees during Fall, Winter, or the Green Rain event, as well as by breaking Large Weeds during the Green Rain event. Each of these sources has a 5% chance to drop a seed.

An unfertilized Mossy Seed has about a 20% chance to advance one growth stage each night during Spring, Summer, or Fall. The seed has five growth stages in total, with a median time to maturity of around 18 days; over 90% of seeds mature in fewer than 32 growing days. Tree Fertilizer guarantees one growth stage per night and works even during Winter.

• Mossy Seed is not used in tailoring or dyeing.
• Since it is a tree seed, it is mainly valuable for replanting Green Rain Trees rather than for crafting or bundle progression.
