Aged Roe

Aged Roe is an Artisan Good made in a Preserves Jar from any type of Roe except Sturgeon Roe. Its sell price is twice the sell price of the unprocessed Roe it was made from, making it a simple way to increase the value of fish roe before selling it. If Sturgeon Roe is placed in a Preserves Jar, it produces Caviar instead of Aged Roe.

All types of Aged Roe provide the same health and energy when eaten, regardless of the original Roe used to make them. This makes it consistent as a food item, even though its main value is usually in processing and selling rather than consumption.

Aged Roe also has a few crafting and dye uses:

• It is used in the Sewing Machine spool to create the dyeable Globby Shirt.
• It can be used as an orange dye in the dye pots at Emily and Haley's house at 2 Willow Lane.

Since Aged Roe is produced from Roe, it depends on regular fish processing rather than a special source. Any fish Roe that can be collected and placed in a Preserves Jar can be turned into Aged Roe, with the single exception of Sturgeon Roe. This makes it a straightforward artisan product for players who are already collecting roe from fish ponds or other sources and want an easy way to turn it into a more valuable good.
