Emily is a villager who lives in Pelican Town and one of the twelve marriage candidates. She lives at 2 Willow Lane, south of the town square next to Jodi’s house, and most evenings she works at The Stardrop Saloon starting around 3:30–4:00 PM. Emily shares the house with her sister Haley while their parents travel the world, and she is close friends with Sandy, whom she visits on Sandy’s birthday each year. Clint is openly interested in her, and she can also dance with Shane at the Flower Dance if neither is dancing with the player.
Emily’s schedule changes often because she has several special routines. On Tuesdays she attends aerobics class at Pierre’s General Store before heading to the saloon, and on Fridays she may go to the Community Center if it has been restored. She also has special festival behavior, including acting as a vendor during the Desert Festival and visiting the Calico Desert for Sandy’s birthday if the bus is restored. On rainy days she stays home longer before leaving for work, and on Ginger Island’s Beach Resort she may randomly spend the day there; if she leaves the island at 6:00 PM, she goes straight home to bed. She does not visit the resort on Fall 15, festival days, or her checkup day at Harvey’s Clinic.
Emily loves clothing and self-expression, which fits her crafting-focused gifts and several of her heart events. Her universal loves are Amethyst, Aquamarine, Emerald, Jade, Parrot Egg, Ruby, Stardrop Tea, Topaz, Cloth, Survival Burger, and Wool. She likes Daffodil and Quartz, while most eggs, fruit, and milk are neutral. She dislikes Fried Eel, Ice Cream, Rice Pudding, Salmonberry, and Spicy Eel, and hates Fish Taco, Holly, Maki Roll, Salmon Dinner, and Sashimi. At the movie theater, she loves The Miracle At Coldstar Ranch and likes several others including Journey Of The Prairie King: The Motion Picture, Natural Wonders: Exploring Our Vibrant World, The Brave Little Sapling, The Zuzu City Express, and Wumbus. For concessions, she loves Kale Smoothie and Stardrop Sorbet.
Emily can send gifts and recipes by mail as friendship increases. At any friendship level above zero, she may send a gift in the mail, and the chance rises with friendship. At 3 hearts she sends the Salad recipe, and at 7 hearts she sends the Red Plate recipe. Her heart events center on her spiritual side and her love of creativity: her 2-heart event takes place as a dreamlike vision, her 4-heart event gives her a parrot that later moves into the farmhouse if you marry her, her 6-heart event features a dance performance, and her 8-heart event invites the player to her “Clothing Therapy” session at the Mayor’s Manor.
Once married, Emily moves into the farmhouse and adds her own room to the right of the bedroom. She also creates a small crystal garden behind the farmhouse where she sometimes meditates. On rainy mornings she may offer Cloth, Wool, Duck Feather, Refined Quartz, or Bean Hotpot, while on rainy nights she may give dessert, and on some indoor days she can offer Cloth, Wool, Duck Feather, Refined Quartz, Bean Hotpot, Coffee, or an Omni Geode. Her parrot is not visible to multiplayer farmers who have not seen her 4-heart event. Emily also has a Special Order quest, Rock Rejuvenation, in which she asks for Ruby, Topaz, Emerald, Jade, and Amethyst, rewarding the player with friendship, gold, and a Sewing Machine.
