Birdie

Birdie is an old woman who lives in a hut at the far west side of Ginger Island. Speaking to her begins the Pirate’s Wife quest, and bringing her the Pirate’s Locket completes it. She is one of the island’s more unusual residents, tied directly to a single questline rather than a regular daily schedule.

Birdie cannot be found when it is raining on Ginger Island. Once the Pirate’s Wife quest has been completed, she remains on the island and can be seen fishing on the beach. At that point she can still be spoken to, but she cannot be gifted items, and the player cannot enter her hut.

A few practical notes about Birdie:

• She is encountered through exploration of the far west side of Ginger Island, so players who have not reached that area will not meet her.
• Her quest progression is simple: talk to Birdie to start Pirate’s Wife, then give her the Pirate’s Locket to finish it.
• Weather matters for finding her, since she does not appear when it is raining.
• After the quest, she remains present as an island NPC, but her interaction options are limited compared to a standard villager.
