Red Plate

Red Plate is a cooked dish that can be prepared in the kitchen of an upgraded farmhouse or with a Cookout Kit. It restores a large amount of Energy, with an edibility value of 96, and sells for 400g. Its buff lasts for 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

The dish is also notable for being profitable to make: if it is cooked using the lowest-quality ingredients, the finished item still yields a profit. This makes it a useful option for players who want both a strong food item and a reliable way to turn inexpensive ingredients into gold.

Red Plate can appear in several places outside of cooking. It may randomly show up in Krobus' shop on Saturdays, in the garbage can outside the Saloon, in the Traveling Cart, or in the Stardrop Saloon's rotating stock. One Red Plate can also be obtained from opening a Mystery Box.

It also has a few utility uses beyond eating. Red Plate can be placed in the spool of the Sewing Machine to create the Red Tuxedo. It can also be used as a red dye ingredient in the dye pots found in Haley's and Emily's house at 2 Willow Lane.

Because it is both edible and craftable as a dye item, Red Plate has value in a few different parts of the game. Players may want to save one for tailoring or dyeing before using extra copies as food or selling them. Since it is a cooked dish with a high Energy restore and a positive sale price, it is especially convenient when obtained through shops or other random sources instead of being made directly.
