Ice Cream

Ice Cream is a purchasable food item sold at the Ice Cream Stand in Pelican Town. The stand is located just east of the bridge leading to the Blacksmith and Museum, and it only operates during Summer on non-rainy days, except Wednesdays, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. When the stand is open, Alex serves behind the counter, and Haley is often nearby, making the location useful for finding her during the season.

If the player marries Alex, he no longer works at the stand, and Ice Cream can no longer be bought there. Haley still visits the stand even after Alex is married, so the location can remain useful for meeting her during Summer. There is also a known bug where, during Summer, parking a horse in the correct spot behind the stand when no one is present allows the player to purchase Ice Cream at any time.

Ice Cream can also be used in tailoring. Placing it in the spool of the Sewing Machine produces the Retro Rainbow Shirt. This gives the item a use beyond its normal role as a food purchase from the stand.

A small trivia note is that gifting Ice Cream to Jas at the Desert Festival raises friendship with her by 200 points, and this can only be done once per player.
