Pam

Pam is a villager who lives in the trailer just west of the river in Pelican Town with her daughter, Penny. Before the bus broke down, she was the driver for the Pelican Town bus; once bus service is restored, she manages the bus stop just east of the Farm and provides access to the Desert. She also spends much of her time at the Stardrop Saloon, where she is one of Gus’s most loyal regulars.

Her daily routine changes depending on whether the bus is running. Without bus service, Pam usually stays in her trailer until noon, then goes to JojaMart and later heads to the saloon for the evening. With bus service restored, she leaves earlier, goes to the bus stop around mid-morning, and returns to the saloon at night. On days when she is selected for special events, her schedule can change completely; for example, she may attend the Desert Festival, work as a vendor there, or spend the day at the Beach Resort on Ginger Island. She also has specific festival and seasonal routines, including a medical checkup at Harvey’s Clinic on Spring 25, and she does not visit the Resort on Fall 15, festival days, or her checkup day. During Green Rain in Year 1, she stays in the Stardrop Saloon all day, and on Winter 12 and 13 she can be found on the Beach watching SquidFest.

Pam is easy to befriend if you keep her tastes in mind. She loves Beer, Cactus Fruit, Glazed Yams, Mead, Pale Ale, Parsnip, Parsnip Soup, and Piña Colada. She likes all universal likes, all fruit except Cactus Fruit, all milk, and Daffodil. She is neutral to all fish except Carp, Octopus, Snail, and Squid, along with items such as Chanterelle, Common Mushroom, Dandelion, Ginger, Hazelnut, Joja Cola, Leek, Magma Cap, Morel, Purple Mushroom, Snow Yam, and Winter Root. She dislikes all universal dislikes except fish, all eggs, Quartz, and Wild Horseradish, and she hates all universal hates except Joja Cola, plus Holly, Octopus, and Squid.

Raising friendship with Pam can unlock several rewards. At any friendship level above zero, she may occasionally mail a gift to the player. At 3 hearts, she mails the recipe for Cheese Cauliflower, and at 7 hearts she mails the recipe for Stuffing. At 9 hearts, after purchasing the Community Upgrade, entering Pam’s house at least four days later triggers a special event, and the Yoba statue can later be found near her bed on the second floor and obtained by striking it with a tool.

Pam also appears in several quests. She may send a letter on Summer 14 requesting a Pale Ale in “Pam is Thirsty,” and on Fall 19 in Year 2 requesting a Battery Pack in “Pam Needs Juice.” She can also request items through the Help Wanted board, and in the Special Orders quest “The Strong Stuff,” she asks the player to brew 12 Potato Juice and place them in her house. Her movie preferences are broad: she likes many films and generally likes all concessions except Nachos and Stardrop Sorbet, while disliking several snacks such as Apple Slices, Black Licorice, Cappuccino Mousse Cake, Hummus Snack Pack, Jasmine Tea, Kale Smoothie, and Panzanella Salad.
